Cecconi Simone Inc. is an internationally renowned interior design firm based in Toronto. Under the direction of partners Anna Simone and Elaine Cecconi, the firm has completed major projects in hospitality, restaurants, corporate offices, government institutions and both multi-unit and private residences throughout North America, China, Italy, India, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Dubai. Their award-winning interiors, featuring their signature modern aesthetic, have been featured in numerous national and international design publications and they are widely acknowledged as one of the leaders in contemporary design.

Monde was their first collaboration with Safdie Architects, a relationship they enthusiastically embraced. “I think some of the best projects in the world are through collaborations,” Simone notes. While working on Monde, the firm was inspired by the clean geometric lines of Safdie’s vision, and created a modern canvas for the interiors, that complements and enhances the natural environment surrounding the site.

“We really try not to decorate, we try to be very architectural in our thinking,” says Simone. This disciplined approach guides the firm to create timeless designs that remain fresh and modern, no matter when they are viewed. It’s a philosophy that has worked for projects such as X The Condominium and One Bloor, and one that will ensure Monde is as relevant 25 years from now, as it is today.
